It's a bit hard to see.. but engraved on my necklace is one of my favorite names for God.

El Roi

It's found only once in the Bible. It's from a story of a woman fleeing to the desert because of being (wrongfully) mistreated by her master.

In her distress, God sees her, comforts her, and guides her in the way she should go (which is actually back to her master).

It's here that the woman refers to God as El Roi, meaning, "the God who sees."

I think we all feel like the woman sometimes - battling life alone. But the fact that one of God's names is El Roi reminds us that we aren't; he does see us and is going to guide us, even if it's in ways we don't quite expect.
